Hello everyone..I have a question? we have a wedding site for destination wedding taking place at the end of June. We are having a AHR july 30 and I wanted to have website with more infomation, like registry, about the location and wedding. Should i create a new and seperate one for the AHR?? or just create a new tab for AHR?  I just don't want people to feel left out when they destination info...thoughts ideas?? thanks so much!!!

I would do two separate websites -- I'd feel the same way you do about making people feel left out.  Another option is to have parts of your website password protected, and only give the people who are going to your wedding the password.  I think you can password-protect specific pages on theknot.com websites and weddingwire.com websites.

I actually had to do two separate websites (one wasn't consistently working) for my wedding and it wasn't that much more work.  Once you do one, you can just cut and paste all of your info onto the other.

Good luck!

  • 4 weeks later...

I'm doing 2 websites.  The DW site has a PASSWORD people must enter (they received on their STD).  This site has all the hotel info for the DW. The other site will be a mirror image of the DW site but with the reception info.  We are just going to switch the URL of the sites so it's "alisonandblake" for DW and then "blakeandalison" for the second site.  I felt bad about people not getting invited to the DW seeing info about it so thought 2 sites would be the best route to take.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
