SHOES FOR BEACH WEDDING???

Recommended Posts

I plan on being barefoot for the wedding and I have three inch heels for the reception so I was having a hard time figuring out what to do with my dress as far as length, I went to my second fitting yesterday and we decided to put velcro on the bottom of my dress for the under part and then we are going to use fabric tape on the outer part of the dress where you would see the velcro if we used it, I thought it was a great idea then i will just undo the velcro when i have my shoes on, i go back in three weeks to see how it turned out

When we got married, being in flip-flops were kind of amazing.  And for pictures, we did barefoot pictures, because juggling a dress, heels, a bouquet seemed like too much work!  Seriously, we wanted it to be simple.  It worked out amazingly.

These are the one's we got/made.  I bought a pair for myself, and then made my BM's in the colour of their dresses.

I was thinking about somethig like these for my May puerto rico wedding.  I don't know how hard it will be to walk in sand with these?  I was also thinking about some custom geeky heels like custom painted mario tardis or a pheonix... my future husband and i are geeks.

My future husband is almost a foot taller than me.  I was thinking about barefoot jewlery like this

but i thought in pictures I will need as much height as possible.  Also, isn't it hot barefoot?

I'm wearing the disney princess ariel 210 by alfred angelo 2012.  My colors are going to be fuchsia aqua and orange.  It's going to be a small wedding of about 10 people on the beach.  Friends and close family.

Any imput would be appreciated!

i like the idea of some of the bejeweled flip flops or the barefoot jewelry, but i'm worried about them getting caught or snagging on my dress? but i am having a hard time coming up with an alternative other than just completely plain flip flops?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
