I just got confirmation today (happy valentine's to us!) that our date, and minister are booked for Ocean Blue, Punta Cana. Now to count down until April 11, 2013 @4:00 pm!!!

 

I feel like a huge weight is lifted now that I have my date

Thanks for the well wishes, my exam is now over and onto the next one. Just 2 big exams left and I'll finally be done with school at the end of May... Can't wait! I want to focus on wedding stuff already.

 

Does your wedding plannng book come with pockets and areas to save items too?

Yes the book has some pockets for items...it's not as big as a binder but allows for some papers, notes, etc.  it helps me to keep things centralized!  I feel less scattered!!!

I'm a 2013 bride as well. We finally set a date of 8/31/13 and just secured our date at our location, Azul Sensatori in Mexico! I am super excited but a little overwhelmed. Althought we set the date out that far to allow our guests time to save and plan for this trip, I am confused on some of the timelines. When are you summer 2013 brides sending STD's and invitations. I am already obsessing over the details and I still have over a year! Aaaaahhhh!

My fiancé and I chose Riviera Maya because it was relatively close to cancan (according to our travel agent) and because a lot of the people on our guests list are in their mid 20's and early 30's we wanted to be sure there would be plenty for them to do. We also picked the resort we did because it is all inclusive, very modern, and has creative ceremony options that are unique to that location. I have recently developed an addiction to this website and have read the threads about this resort. The only negative thing I have heard people report is that the beach is not as clear and clean as they would have hoped. But, because I don't plan on having my ceremony on the beach....that was not a deal breaker for me.  Another thing that helped me narrow it down was the size of the resort. I found that some were just too large and I don't want my guest spending more time trying to figure out where they need to be than relaxing and enjoying their vacation.

I recently got engaged on December 4th and have dreamed of a Destination Wedding!!! Last night in talking to my fiance, we decided to look into a Riviera Maya Wedding on March 2013.  (So let the madness begins....) I came across this site and have to admit, I am hooked.  It is full of information!  Having a hard time narrowing the venue as people rave about all resorts in the RIviera Maya.  As we are def trying to remain budget conscious... I welcome any ideas, suggestions, tips etc with anyone that is planning a 2013 wedding as well or has had their wedding there.  The whole thing is definitely overwhelming.
