Welcome to the new Brides!welcome.gif.

happyfamily- I have read great things about the TAs from this website.  I am using a wedding planner/TA based (Ophellia McNight, with Bridal Affair Destination) in Canada who specialises in Jamaican destination weddings. If you would like her contact info let me know. So far she has been great.  She is taking care of both wedding planning and the TA services for us so there is a fee, but I am not sure what her fee would be for just the travel and accomodation aspect. Another great thing about her is that she is in Jamaica often during the high season and is very up to date on all the current information.

Jackie44- It's hard not to get wrapped up in everything wedding eh? How is your planning coming along so far?

Monday was our "pretend" deadline and we officially have 27 rooms book meaning 54 people are joining us in Jamaica, my FI and are absolutely flabbergasted with the outcome! We are so excited that so many people are joining us for our day! Couldn't be happier! We were originally thinking no more than 30 people would come! I guess we were very wrong!

Now to start thinking about planning! Sandals recently updated their wedding website, which i'm LOVING that I can now see all the options!

Happy planning to everyone :)

CONGRATS! That is such great news! We have 2 people booked, but they didn't even book at our resort or through or TA.

I had my heart set on this off resort location for our wedding and was told they no longer do weddings and our wedding planner was having a hell of a har time getting information on it. Anyways . . . .it looks like it is available and we will be able to book oour weddingwoot.gif. I am beyond excited and will be speaking with the planner today to find out the details.

Congrats to all the other girls that have confirmed wedding dates!

Hello all 2013 brides!

I just wanted to put it out there for anyone planning a wedding in Jamaica, that Rashel Edwards is now available for Feb. 6/2013 for hair and makeup.

I had initially booked her and was very excited for her to work her magic on me and my bridesmaids, but due to some unfortunate circumstances I am no longer having a destination wedding.  She does amazing work and if you are looking for someone you should defintely check her out (she has a facebook page).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
