Any other 2013 Brides??

Hello fellow brides to be :) I got engaged in January and am now starting to plan my DW (as we have family on both coasts of Canada). I have a lot more people RSVPing then I thought would, even though not all will inevitably make it. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed about choosing the 'right' resort that everyone will enjoy. We are leaning towards Mayan Riviera, Mexico March 2nd-9th 2013 but I have no idea which resort. Hoping to figure it out soon... *deep breath

Hey, he is doing pretty good. Problem is is that we need his oncologist to tell us that what he sees in his scans and bloodwork is also good. My FI has an amazing mental and physical resilience, it is very inspiring and encouraging to be around. Cancers fickle though, so we definitely are looking forward to our appointment tomorrow where a plan, pathology and prognosis will be given to us. So nerve racking! Thanks for asking.

Still thinking of you Katie! How is your FI doing this week? Fingers crossed, and prayers sent your way for good news :)

Who am I kidding though? With this forum, I don't think I will ever run out of things to research/consider/plan for. It's addictive! lol

Hey everyone!

I'm a June 2013 bride.  We are looking towards the Riviera Maya area, FI likes Dreams RC (I don't, bc they don't allow outside vendors) and I am leaning towards Now Sapphire, but I just don't know sad.gif.

Although I absolutely love this site, everytime I come online, I end up seeing something better and changing my mind, and I am so anxious to book a resort, (I'm probably way ahead of the game).  I can't wait to start planning!

The best word of adive I can give is TAKE YOUR TIME! I chose Jamaica as a destination when I first got engaged and blabbed my mouth to everybody friends, family, etc. now I wish I took the time and researched each country and what it had to offer. I am also a June 2013 bride and we have seventeen months! Take your time and read through all of the resort reviews and then move on to planning threads. I think you will be happier in the long run if you do this. I REALLY REALLY want to switch my destination to Hawaii but I chose Jamaica and booked way to far in advance...

Hey, can I ask why you want to switch your destination? I am worried that I may want to do the same one day...

Yes, we were able to book our wedding and hold a group of rooms, but it's too early for us to do flights. We are very happy to do that since that allows people more time to pay on their trips.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
