I'm a June 2013 bride, so I'm about 2 years away now!  I also feel like this is the longest engagement ever!  But I didn't want to be rushed in planning, and we need about 2 years to save up for the type of wedding we want, so I think its good that we are waiting.  But it is hard to be patient when I have had 3 good friends and my sister get engaged AFTER me and they will have their weddings BEFORE me!  I still have so long to go and I just can't wait! :)  It will be fun to be engaged for so long though

I expect to be a 2013 bride, as well.  I'd love to do it sooner, but it makes more financial sense for us to wait.  It might be nice, though, having extra time to plan things.  (Or awful, having so much time to look at things and overwhelm myself with choices!)

We're thinking Riviera Maya, possibly Dreams resort in Tulum. bride.gif

I'm a July 2013 bride, and have already been engaged a year so it does seem like a long wait! Especially as we were decided on location etc. from the off (we're getting married at the resort that FI proposed at- Dreams La Romana, in the DR) I do like it this way though, as it means I have time to plan everything gradually so I (hopefully) don't turn into Bridezilla- haha! It also means I'm able to do a lot of personal DIY touches and look around for the cheapest of things, so as to keep costs nice and low. It's a lot of build-up, but I'm sure it'll be here in no time! Congrats to all you other 2013 brides :D.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
