3 Best Men?

Recommended Posts

Our wedding party is going to be family members only.  MY sister is my MOH and originally my fiance's 2 sons were going to be joint best men.  That's totally reasonable since you don't want to chose one over the other and hurt any feelings.  But then my fiance decided to have his brother be his best man so I assumed his sons were groomsmen.  Well, I was working on making program fans and had them listed that way and my fiance said I should change it because his sons think they are all 3 best men.  I know destination weddings don't have rules and you can do whatever you want.  We are having an uneven wedding party which I am fine with.  If I wasn't making programs I would care what they called themselves, but it just seems odd to have them all listed as best men.  Should I go along with it?  I guess in the scheme of things its not a big deal but just wanted some feedback.  By the way, the sons are 20 and 25.

I'd go with it too.  We are having 3 BM and 3 GM and we are not distinguishing so we technically have 3 bridesmaids/maids of honour and 3 groomsmen/best men.  I think on our programs we are listing them all as bridesmaids and groomsmen so that is also an option.  I don't think anyone will think it is weird to have them all listed as best men either!

I'd go with it too.  We are each having two people stand up for us, and we are calling both my girls MOHs and his boys best men! You can really do whatever you want to!

Nothing wrong with 3 best men!! It's your wedding and you can design it to be whatever you like. My fiancee doesnt want to choose just one person for his best man. He might not even have a best man. They will just all be his best men.

Turns out this isn't an issue anymore.  About a week later at dinner one night his son was like "I'm a groomsmen, I don't want the responsibility of best man."  I think it was just my fiance that cared, not the kids.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
