Message in a Bottle Seating Cards

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow brides!  I found this in a magazine and wanted to share.  We won't be doing specefic place cards at each seat, but I want certain guests at certain tables, so I think I'll be doing this as a DIY!

Anyone else try this before?  Thoughts?!

Here are the bottles to use (they were listed in the Martha Stewart article)!  I haven't ordered them yet, waiting on a better head count, but when I do I'll let everyone know if the bottles are big enough to get paper in and out

Hey guys. I found this picture too! It's perfect since we sent Message in a Bottle STDs I showed it to my florist and she's agreed to provide the glass bowl and sand. And since they are so cute, my fiancée and I decided to use the as a guest book of sorts. We're going to have the guest's name and table number on one side and then have them write a message (like a wish or piece of advice) on the other side. We've toyed with a few ideas on what to do with them after the wedding. I love the idea of reading 1per year and then throwing it into the ocean.

Such a fabulous idea! Thanks so much for posting!

I was looking at the 'message in a bottle' stuff that they had a Micheal's but the bottles were so large and looked like really cheap plastic! These should be the perfect solution!

Looking forward to hearing how they turn out!

I had that same idea too after I saw the picture!  Let us know how they work out for those of you that are going to use this at your wedding

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
