Hello! I used destinationweddings.com, my TA is wonderful. I was quoted $2900 for a week stay in one of the suites. My guests were quoted at $850 and up for 3 nights, 4 days. I encouraged them to stay longer if they had the time off since it only makes a $50 difference if that. We are flying from Detroit, Mi.

Just heard back from a local TA who specializes in destination weddings. She says that not many Canadian all inclusive travel companies offer packages to Riu resorts. She can fly us out of Edmonton but any fort mac guests will have to book their own travel from here to there. And they won't be offering flights from Newfoundland until sometime in 2015!!! Since the date is over a year away they don't have any rates right now but they provided her with aprojected rate for November 2014. from Edmonton it will cost $2088. I am worried that with adding flights from here and guests flying from Newfoundland that this resort will end up being unaffordable for my guests. My TA is recommending switching resorts but I have my heart set on ROR.

What did past ROR brides end up paying?
What were future ROR brides quoted?
      Any fall 2014 quotes?
Any ROR newfie brides? How did you deal with flight issues?
Can anyone recommend a different TA?
Maybe I'd be better off doing it without one?

I used air Canada vacations last summer for Mexico and they were awesome. would really like to use them again but they don't offer packages to Riu.

Hi!  I used destinationweddings.com and my TA is wonderful, Debbie Frey. I was quoted $2900 for our one week stay in one of the suites. Our guests were quoted aprrox. $850 for 3 nights, 4 days. I encouraged them to get quoted on more days since it only makes a $50 difference if that. We are flying from Detroit, Mi. I would say if you are traveling with more than 10 people, don't try and do it all yourself. You are going to have so many people calling and asking you questions and rely on you to get their travel arrangements squared away. I feel that it would save you many headaches by using one. Good luck!

I looked in to http://jansflowersjamaica.com/ emailed them and asked to send me a catalogue with pricing. I am so excited and impressed! They have everything from bouquets to ceremony and reception decorations.

Hey I was wondering what you ladies were going to do about hair. Has anyone heard/seen any hair styles done in the resort? Is there a place close by that may be more affordable?? I am not sure what I am going to do or where I am going to get it done :)

I'm wondering the same exact thing...

I know everything looks great but defiantly a little pricey. I couldn't believe what the resort was charging for colored napkins crazy!

My colors are turquoise, lime green and coral?? Thought that was good for the tropics.

Right now Im leaning towards having the resort do my hair and make up. for both its about 160, But im srue because my hair is long they are gonna try and charge me even more. If thats the case, i will only do the make up thru them and do my own hair. If anyone has any off resort suggestions please let us know! lol

I'm a Riu Ocho Rios Newfie bride to be :) We went with selloffvacations.com travel agent carol gonzalez. Her prices were the cheapest we found by far. We're going in peak season (march break) Our flights are 1720 taxes in from halifax. Because there are no flights direct out of st. john's we will have to get flights from st. john's to halifax as well but if there are enough you can get a group rate on that too and there are often VERY good seat sales for that leg of the trip (I usually wait for the 49-89$ range) I was also given a quote from vancouver, which I can't imagine would be less then edmonton and it was 1600ish +250 taxes (and that's for peak season). We are also getting every 11th person free.
