We are not upgrading are cake. You get a free 3 tier cake. We where talking to Keish over a year ahead of the wedding date. We are the same way we did not bombard her with questions and emails lol.

I was told the pool deck is only for 2 hours! I was also told there is a 600 charge for music? Do you have an email saying that's its for the entire night ? I keep getting conflicting prices, its so frustrating!

This is the price for the after dinner dance. if you want to have dinner and the dance on the pool deck then it cost $600 plus $67 pp.

Anyone know if they would charge a vendor fee if you brought fake flowers? I dont think they really can do that if they did. I understand real flowers. But Just curious:)

I've read in a different thread that people bring fake flowers all the time-no one mentioned having to pay though. I don't think you would have to pay for real flowers if you brought them either, its just a vender fee if there is an actual vender coming on site bringing a bunch of stuff.

Yassy.

Thank you! I actually did not notice those.

oh! thats good to know! so I could potentially go off the resort buy a boquet for cheap and bring it on and they cant do anything !? ehheh I saw a pic of the free one and its nice. Im still debating on what i want to do about the flowers or what im going to have my BM carry. I might just do one calla lilly or something for them. I still got time:)

For those of you having marcia photograph your wedding, I understand she takes pictures of the bride and groom getting ready and the ceremony but not the dinner or reception. Is this correct?
Marcia is staying right through my reception to the end of the night...she doesn't put a time limit on the day as she likes to capture all the major events for the wedding...cutting the cake, first dance, father daughter dance etc... Most photogs give you only 3 or 5 or full day package (8hrs) but depending on what time your getting married at that wont cover right through to the reception so most photographers ask you to do the first dance right away, and then cutting the cake, and then leave...unless you arrange to pay for them to stay straight through the reception. I spoke to Marcia and told her what i was looking for and then we set a very fair price, she is very flexible and great to deal with...You just have to talk to her and let her know your expectations.

Im actually considering Marcia now too. Her prices are pretty good and i feel i might get more then I would from Brian. Although I am absolutly in love with Brians work. With marcia I see that you get the 2 photog like Kdoyle says and shes there basically all day. Its something I will discuss with my FI for sure. And Maybe we can negotiate something with Brian.

I like that Marcia pays the vendor fee instead of reimbursing it or taking it off the price. Thats a Plus. Defin. Brian and Marcia are my top 2. If you need some pics from the photog from the resort let me know and I can email them to you so you can see the quality he has.

Thanks for the info Kerri and Danielle, very much appreciated:)  I sent an email to the address indicated on Marcia's website Portraitspecialist@hotmail.com and am just waiting to hear back from her...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
