Oh that's pretty good ! From TO its generally cheaper. We just got our quotes a week or so ago. And good for 30 days so we have to make a decision soon :) I think ours was just for garden suites. Is have to look at the quote again. When are you going for again?

Hey all,

I had a couple of questions that maybe you guys could help me out with.

1. in the semi private dinner included in the packages, there is no drinks included right?

2. how many hours are you allowed to stay at the dinner for?

3. it is 10.50 for added person per package and that covers the food, wine, and cake? or would I have to buy the bigger cake for $300 & pay for the extra for the wine and food?

Thanks so much for all your help!!!

HI Jessica, The semi private dinner includes drinks but it is only beer and wine and soda and water --it doesnt include mixed drinks in the restaurants --although I do believe you have an option to pay per person to get a full bar. The dinners all start at 6:30 and have ended at 8:30 from what I understand. (If you have a private reception after then they all shut down at 10:30pm - Disco opens at 11pm -except on Tuesdays-it`s not open). It is 10.50 extra for each person above your package allowance and that is to cover the extra champagne and cake. If you have over 40-45 persons you are forced to have a private dinner & reception. So as long as you are under 40 (give or take a few) then the 10.50 covers your extra food, cake & champagne...so no need to upgrade your cake unless you really want something extra special.   Hope this helps!

Thanks KDoyle, I was going to say the same! The only thing I'd like to add is that if you don't need to upgrade the cake, don't. We had 30 people at our wedding and still had a tier and a half left over. I had my reception at The Plantation but paid the additional fee to have 4hrs. I thought it was worth it (hubby on the other hand didn't) but we had the entire space to ourselves. I did chose the free package and paid the additional 10.50$ pp with the exception of children under 2yrs. So if you have any, be sure to advise Keisha when you meet with her. My ceremony was at 3pm and I was happy with that. Lots of time to take pics before the sunsets (our wedding was in October). If any of your brides to be have any questions, I'd be happy to answers. This website was so helpful for me with ideas.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
