ROR Brides (Riu Ocho Rios)

Sorry KDoyle, another question for you...did you end up hiring the DJ for the full 4 hour duration of your dinner/reception?  I plan to rent the sound system from 8:30pm-10:30pm and am not sure what to do about music for the first 2 hours (during the dinner).  I wonder if I should just bring a boombox since I'll just use it for background music while we eat...lol.  Anyway, any advise you can provide would be much appreciated (as always!).

Hey Atrack,

It did take a few weeks to get a response back from them, but once they did, the replies were pretty quick afterwards.  Maybe try sending them a follow-up email in case your initial one got lost in the shuffle?  I've already sent about 4 emails to them and each time they have responded.  They are now just waiting on me to finalize my selections so they can forward the invoice to the RIU for billing purposes.

Yassy.

Yea unfortunately customer service is not the greatest in Jamaica. We've had communication issues with several vendors, make me so mad but sad part is I still need them! Lol

Its free only to the amt of guests on your pacakge.

So if you went with the free" package you have up to 10 guests included any amt over that is 10.50 (EVEN for the semi private dinner)

there are costs to everything =/

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
