Do not worry. I know exactly what you are going through. People will tell you that they are coming but will back put in the end. Just remain calm and remember that no matter who comes or not, you are still marrying the love of your life. Yes it is hurtful but try not to let it upset you. The people who truly support you will be there in attendance. Hope u feel better :-)

Thanks Alyce :)

I know your right and my FI says the same thing...as long as we are happy that's all that matters, anyone that comes is just a bonus...so I'm going to stopped worrying and see where we stand on June 8th after everyone has paid their deposits..

I've also stayed at the Grand Palladium/Lady Hamilton in 2011 and it was AWESOME. It's by Montego Bay off a little ways in a town called Luccea. I'd highly suggest them both!

Thank you for the suggestions - I'm going to talk to my TA and see if we can stay somewhere else the second week..

It's funny my FI and I were going over the packages the other night to see if we could do the same - with hair and make-up I wasn't sure and the additional cost for guests over 10...

Question the Free Package is $525 - does anyone know what the $525 is for?

I'm getting really scared with my numbers. I always thought that if I had a destination wedding, my guest count would be approx 40. The guests we've invited, have surprised us. We are almost at approx 80 guests. Does anyone know if I book the Plantation, would they charge us $10.50 per guest, exceeding our package? or will they force us to pay $67.50 per guest? I so confused and I have yet to hear from Keisha, regarding all my questions.

Hey Ladies!

I am new to this group! I had originally planned to get married in the Dominican, but we changed to this resort last week. My TA, also my MIL, got us a great rate so we couldn't say no!

So I am getting married at the ROR October 15th, 2013. We have the beach booked for a 3pm ceremony. We will have about 40 people with us, give or take a few. I need your help! So, if we stay under the 40 mark I can have a free reception, right? If I go over, which is a big possibility, I have to have a private dinner, right? So which package do I choose? The free one or the caprice package? I am so confused about everything! The resort we originally chose had everything included. This resort does not!

Thank you!

if you book the plantation. its 1000.00 intial fee and then 10.50 per person. or if you want open bar with it add another 13 bucks to the 10.50

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
