I had originally made my reservatons for date and time with Fernanda and recvd 2 confirmations from her on the date and time, and now they are telling me that its a completely different time. Im waiting to hear back what happens. thankfully I have some time, But its just a pain as now I have to wait to confirm other arrangments!

I wrote a nice long reply back, and fwd the emails to the new girl Ana explaning that this is not my fault as I confirmed TWICE! with Fernanda and both times she responded back with " this is to CONFIRM Jan 16 2014 at 3pm ( this is the only time available) And she typed the second email like that after i asked her if she was 100% Certain that it was available.

How is this my fault?!?!?! I emailed them twice to confirm. Now invitations are sent out with that date and time. As well as Vendors/photographers are booked.

Someone is going to fix this or I will not be a happy person!!!

I would FLIP!!!!! Oh my goodness that is awful. Did they respond to you? That is just WRONG. They need to MAKE time for you!

OH I DID! lol in a nice way. She told me to be patient as she is talking to her supervisor to see if we can have that date and time.

If they dont the better be upgrading me to some sort of presidential suite! lol.

And the fact that we are thinking of booking our honey moon at the riu in negril....this might change if this doesnt work out... lol.

THANKFULLY I have some time but geez -smh-

I did ask for further clarification on the above as far as timelines and if they provide actual prints or just the cds, and am still awaiting a reply...but it seems like the above is customizeable depending on your needs.  It's been 4 days, so hopefully the delay is due to the long weekend;)

Yassy.

that is ridiculous! That is so unprofessional and its not fair. If you had booked that date first then you should have priority. That is your day and time. Boy, I am going to confirm my date and time because now I am nervous that I am doing all this planning for that date and time and I would flip out if they changed plans on me. Def. fight for your time it is not fair that they are putting you through this stress. and if they don't they better give you some kind of reimbursement or huge discount for the inconvenience that they are putting you through in having to rearrange everything and not only that, but it really makes a bride unhappy and it takes away from the experience. Best wishes and I really hope you get your date and time. If not, I am highly disappointed and I might even consider looking elsewhere.

I know! I am still waiting for a reply. I will wait until Monday , And then I am going to be sending a follow up email. If for some reason I didnt have that time first (which would be the person arranging its fault) then i will have to settle for the 1pm But I better get a discount or a major room upgrade, Especially sicne the second week we are going to be staying at another Riu in Negril!! At this point im iffy about staying there. But its beautiful and its close to the 7 mie beach which is what i want! AND the price is right. I really hope this nightmare clears itsself up.

I even told them. if there is another wedding at 3 they hve 2 different locations. I would be willing to take a nother location and get my own officent but they are not going to charge me the vendor fee. She said she is going to talk to her supervisor to try and get that time.

In the end its not my fault the person desginated to assign date and times screwed up and either way I have 2 confirmation emails confirming this.  OI!!!!

Im trying not to let it stress me out. Thankfully I still have some time for ordering things. I really want to book the photographer and confirm, but I cant until i know the time! thats the only thing thats holding back!!

hey! I am bringing a bose portable sound system...we are doing a private reception but really its just for dinner music and 2 hours of actual dancing. Keep in mind that with the Bose, you cannot hook up a microphone....however, if you buy a mixer you can. We are taking that route....all in all the mixer, mic and system will probably cost me around 450-500 but it's my system to keep, I can't justify spending 350/hour for a dj, just not worth it.

So update on my fiasco. Got a email back today. Telling me I can have 3 pm but have to have it at the lagoon gazebo. My whole reason for going away is because I want it on the beach! Ugh I almost wanted to cry today because I feel like I will have to pick eithe a earlier time for the beach or a later time and have the lagoon gazebo! I'm still holding out for my time and the beach. I'm a little pissed that all they are saying is we are sorry. How about offering a discount or a upgrade. I have my TA working on it now So frustrating !!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
