Did she say anything about a reception option before dinner? I am stuck with the 1:00pm awkward wedding time. I can't get info back from her about the reception being before dinner.

Thanks!

Hey AshleyD

Sorry that's actually the whole email...my wedding time is at 5:30 so I didn't think to ask about doing anything before hand...

Hey Danielle03:)

Yes, I'm super excited!  I have decided to do the 3 hour pkg for $1400, plus add an extra hour for $250 (so 4 hours total).  With the $350 vendor fee discount, it ends up being only $1300...not bad!  And Brian said he is able to break up the 4 hours so I can have the ceremony, and reception covered as well:)

For my videography...I've decided to have a friend or family member record the footage for free (why spend more?).

If you go to Brian's FB page, he just posted some really beautiful pics of some RIU Ochie pics he recently did...I really love the ones of Cortney and Wayne!

Yassy.

Oh yes. I frequent his FB page. Im kinda a stalker of it! lol I absolutly love his work. I was thinking the EXACT same thing as you are doing. Except Im adding a TTD the next day so mine will be closer to 2000.00.

Im splitting it up too because ceremony is at 1pm and then dinner and private reception at 630. So Ill have some of ceremony and after pics. and then some at the reception and cake cutting and Id like some sunset pics. But Ill have to figure it out with him for that. He lives In ocho rios so he can leave and come back he said :) win win win!

I agree. I am going to get a family member to record ours as well. With all the Iphones and camcorders ppl have . it will be fine. Its not like im going to watch it everyday anyways lol. Just for the family members back here who cant come

I just got married last Wednesday at ROR and had the private dinner and reception on pool deck for my wedding...I would not do it any other way now that I've been there and done it....it is so worth the extra cost!!!..my guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and I had 40 friends and family there. I can provide pics once I'm back ... Just on my honeymoon right now but happy to answer any question etc... Literally the time of my life ..,wedding day and night was PERFECT :))

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
