What Did/Will Your DH/FI Give You As A Wedding Gift?

That sounds cool I think I am a member of one or two? What brands of watches should I be looking out for? I'm a watch-buying-noob embarrest.gif

Bought our friend a nice watch for his birthday for only $75 (plus shipping). It's something to consider. Some of the watches are heavily discounted.

Thats a great idea! I was struggling with what to get my FI as he is really hard to buy for and anything engraved and mushy things he would never use and they would end up in the garbage.  He would for use something like this.  Where did you get it at?

We actually agreed to not give gifts, but that was to just make sure he didn't buy me anything.  :)The e-ring is perfect enough!!!  My gifts on the otherhand... I did a bd shoot and will be giving him an album (MoH will give it to him the afternoon of the wedding) and I also purchased a package for him to go to NASCAR driving school where he will drive an actual race car around MIS for 20 laps!  He will just die when he gets that!  It's been so hard not telling him!!!!

Now I just need to figure out when to give it to him.  I'm thinking either at our Bridal Party BBQ (2 weeks prior to us leaving and when we will hand out our bridal party gifts) or at our Welcome Dinner (night before wedding).  Thoughts?  Suggestions?  Thanks!

Ahk! Sooo sorry to be unresponsive to your question. I have been super busy and away from the forum. So, to answer your question.. it truly depends on what your price range is, what your fiance's style is, what his preferences are... if you want something trendy or classic.... leather band or links ... how big of a watch fan is he? What are his style and comfort preferences? If you guide me a bit, I can give you a better response to help you keep an eye out for certain sales/brands.

Ex. some sporty, fun, young, trendy watches can be surprisingly expensive, but wouldn't retain the same versatility and lasting power as a classic watch. However, a ton of people love the trendy watches, so it's all about what you're going for....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
