That sounds cool I think I am a member of one or two? What brands of watches should I be looking out for? I'm a watch-buying-noob

Hi there, have you tried the internet "exclusive" deals sites? You have to be invited to them, but once you join, you have access to all these deals. I'm a member of ... well, as many as possible. Bought our friend a nice watch for his birthday for only $75 (plus shipping). It's something to consider. Some of the watches are heavily discounted.

Thats a great idea! I was struggling with what to get my FI as he is really hard to buy for and anything engraved and mushy things he would never use and they would end up in the garbage.  He would for use something like this.  Where did you get it at?

I got my fiance an I-pad 2 that is engraved and a signed baseball by Casey Blake who is his favorite player.... he has everything- watches are always nice. Or if you scuba dive or anything like that you could get the equipment???

We are saving for our first house so I think a letter will be perfect.  To be honest I don't even think my FI knows that many people exchange gifts before their wedding!

We actually agreed to not give gifts, but that was to just make sure he didn't buy me anything.  :)The e-ring is perfect enough!!!  My gifts on the otherhand... I did a bd shoot and will be giving him an album (MoH will give it to him the afternoon of the wedding) and I also purchased a package for him to go to NASCAR driving school where he will drive an actual race car around MIS for 20 laps!  He will just die when he gets that!  It's been so hard not telling him!!!!

Now I just need to figure out when to give it to him.  I'm thinking either at our Bridal Party BBQ (2 weeks prior to us leaving and when we will hand out our bridal party gifts) or at our Welcome Dinner (night before wedding).  Thoughts?  Suggestions?  Thanks!

Ahk! Sooo sorry to be unresponsive to your question. I have been super busy and away from the forum. So, to answer your question.. it truly depends on what your price range is, what your fiance's style is, what his preferences are... if you want something trendy or classic.... leather band or links ... how big of a watch fan is he? What are his style and comfort preferences? If you guide me a bit, I can give you a better response to help you keep an eye out for certain sales/brands.

Ex. some sporty, fun, young, trendy watches can be surprisingly expensive, but wouldn't retain the same versatility and lasting power as a classic watch. However, a ton of people love the trendy watches, so it's all about what you're going for....
