Thanks so much!

I hope you have a fantastic trip.

The photographers I booked are Huellas Del Caribe - HDC Photo.

They have realy great reviews and a beautiful website, but yes, we are paying the $1000 fee.

The good news is they are giving us extra hours of photography to make up for this charge the Melia has instituted!

I can't wait to see your pictures!  We are getting married there in 4 months!

Have a great time,

Julie

HI Cynthia M - I know Trivera5522 was headed to the DR to do a scout - did you come back with any good photos or info?

How did the trip go?  Really excited to hear/see anything you found helpful!

I am getting married this year in June.  From what I understand from my coordinator, April is the time where I will be choosing my decorations etc and Ill be happy to pass along anything I find out, and of course wedding photos if anyone is interested!

Hi Melia Brides,

Just wondering, has anyone heard anything about the on site - hair dresser or gotten their makeup done there?  Just trying to decide what to do!

Also, what about DJ's....do they provide a list of options?

Any advice is appreciated!

hi ladies,

im getting married there in may 2012, i have chosen to have my reception in the convention room because my fi insists on having an A/C room . I will assist anyone on any questions ....so far i haven't had much deciding on any major decisions with the resort but my friends friend said that they do anything possible to accomodate...not happy about the photographer fee as i really like a photographer outside arrecife...if you facebook them you see they're pics are kinda the same and a bit boring....just me sorry.

congrats to all...

HI Ladies,

Is anyone using the DJ the resort offers?

I have asked for information and all they tell me is to send a song list?  If all the DJ does is play songs from an Ipod....I can do that myself!

If anyone has used one for thier wedding let me know!

Thanks :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
