One more thing.....if they havents rsvp'd it is probably because they dont/cant attend and they just want to avoid expressly saying that they cant go. They are probably just avoiding having to say that they cant go. Again....give them a call when the time gets closer.

thanks for your input but I already made my decision a while ago to not do anything. If people chose to not RSVP then I just assumed them to be a no to coming. I am not going to call 80 people...I imagine if you are coming you would express your excitement or would have told us one way or another. If they decide for whatever reason to attend at the last minute and not let us know then that is their choice and I am not going to stress about it. I am making my plans and arrangements around those who had the decency to reply their attendance and a 4 to 5 extra of everything for the stragglers. it will be what it will be. I saved myself the ink cost in my printer and cost of the stamp for the postcard.

I totally agree!!  We have had a ton of people not reply, at first I was going to call them all,but then I realized it was not worth all my time because if they were going to come they would have told us!

I think that we all need to remember that our weddings are for us-not about friends and family that don't have enough sense to check a box and put a card in the mail. I say go with your gut and don't wait for anyone else!

I agree.  I would only call people like an older relative that perhaps isn't good with the internet.  Other than that, people can RSVP or I will assume they are not attending. Calling people will probably just open the door for them to tell you their opinions...like how expensive or inconvenient it is for them.  Don't do that to yourself.

I am a type A person so I know when it's my turn to send out invitations and RSVP's ill be diligently checking my mailbox for RSVP cards haha.

My friend got married in Sept and told me that in her culture (brazilian and his family is mexican) they do not RSVP at all. Not only that but when they do show up to your wedding they will bring extra people even if you only addressed the invite to them. She recently told me that some of those families gave her a card with a $20 bill in it as a gift...I was shocked. I am not trying to offend anyone...just sharing what she told me. =)
