I've read on Riu's website that a new hotel is opening in 2008. does anyone know when and does anyone have any experience with staying in a RIU either in PV or other areas of Mexico. Looking into possibly recommending OOT guest to stay there as an option other than the Westin. Any thoughtshuh.gif

Looks very nice!! Hopefully they intend to open then... also you may want to rethink sending some guests there. I know when a new hotel opens there are usually lots of kinks they need to get out first. i remember reading alot of bad reviews when the Riu Vallarta first opened. Hopefully they'll learn from that experience and be more organized with this one.

Wow the RIU is definitely sucking up that Nuevo Vallarta coastline, their other 2 resorts are huge already! lol I honeymooned at a RIU and loved it (Jamaica) so I'm sure it will be fabulous.

 

My only word of advice is that Nuevo is really far from PV proper (techincally in another state). If your wedding will be in Nuevo then I say it's no problem, but if your wedding/events will be in PV it's just too far. Like a 30 minute/$25 cab ride each way...not cool when they could stay closer and take 10 minute $5 cab rides everywhere.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
