I haven't heard that much about shipping the items except that if anything reads "made in china", they will confiscate it. I am nervous about sending my stuff, but it will be soo much easier.  Have you heard anything? I asked my wedding coordinator(excellence riviera cancun) if she ever had any problems an she said no.  But I don't know what they mailed.

For you ladies wanting to ship to Mexico...I would use a lot of caution doing so.  It is very possible that your stuff may get stuck in customs and never released.  I have heard of this happening to many brides.  I am not shipping anything down there for fear of this, not to mention some resorts won't even allow you to ship to them.  Always double check.

I feel so far behind!  I'm getting married May 25, 2012!  I am on the fence about when to schedule my first dress fitting.  I have been dieting and have lost about 30 pounds and I want to lose more but I don't want to wait to late for my fitting!  Any advice?  We are heading to Mexico on May 21st and some people are saying wait until the first of May.  Do you think that's enough time?

Great job on the 30 pounds!!!

Well I would say start now. You may need more than 1 fitting depending on how the dress fits you. I went last night to my 2nd and scheduled my 3rd for 3 weeks from now.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
