I'm getting the wording together for the invitations and going to do some printing run throughs this weekend. I have to choose between two bridesmaid dresses. Already put deposit on caterer for AHR. Working on ceremony wording. I want to send the invitations out by January 2.

Wow you are on the ball! I think the hardest part for me is going to be the ceremony wording...dreading it!! I want it simple, short & sweet lol!

I took my girls bridesmaid shopping over the weekend & now I understand why some brides pick the dress. We may have gone to more shops then I did for my gown! I finally said to them after this last shop we have scheduled to go too if we dont find anything then they will go with the very first dress they tried on.

Yeah, I swear this DW idea was the best one ever! The stress is a lot less than the state side idea.

I went to the dress designer website and david's, picked out the dresses I like. It was about 6 or 7 dresses from each. Called to ensure they were available and knocked them out in one day. I also took pictures of them in all the dresses.. front and back view so I could reflect on which one I thought look nice on all of them. I'm having my MOH go back and try on a dress that we missed (still trying to decide if they will wear the same or different dresses) and another BM try on the two dresses again with heels on. So I should have the BM dress decided by the second week in December.

There is a unique ceremony thread and wording thread which is very helpful. I'm going to work on it then give it to my pastor for her to give a personal spiritual once over.

Random surprise: I tried on my dress that I got from Running of The Brides for my mom and I was telling her the alterations I wanted to make (one of which is making it a convertible dress). To my surprise, it is ALREADY a convertible dress. That is so awesome! Now I don't have to pay $300 for that and I can just get the regular alterations done. This $750 dress is getting even better and better!

Hey Ladies, just noticed this thread, my date is May 18, 2012 at Dreams Puerto Aventuras Resort & Spa, Riviera Maya, Mexico!

Ok so is anyone else frustrated sitting and waiting for their guests to book!? We have 32 booked, 6 confirmed but not yet booked, and about 10 maybes. I know it is still months away but I need to know how much OOT stuff to buy. I'm just worried that the 10 maybes might try to look for last minute deals or something, not realizing that I need to know my final numbers at least 3 months in advance. Sorry, just needed to vent to people who understand!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
