I am thinking of doing the corsages for our mothers too.  I'm also contemplating doing something special for the other mothers who will be with us in Mexico and not their children on mothers day (aunts, family friends).

Hey!  Our travel dates for our guests are from May 6 - 13...so technically everyone flies out on Mother's Day (my FI and I are staying until the 16th).  At this point I don't know what time they depart and I haven't even thought about what we could do for Mother's Day.  If you have any ideas please post away.

for me, I've had a price alert for the past few months, and flights from Austin, Texas have only increased (from $447 to now $480). it is CRAZY - these prices are $100 more than two years ago. : ( boo.

you can fly from Baltimore for less than Austin. such a bummer!

I'm trying to post enough so I get access to the templates. I think I will send ours out in January.

Saved me a ton of money!  Our invites were really more of a formality as our families are the only ones in attendence and we already know who's going.... Will be sending out actual clear plastic luggage tags for our guests in March to get them excited!

The boarding pass invites are super easy to make!  Included a picture for you!  I have a larger thread going with more details and pics in the DIY Thread...

I agree, that sucks because technically, you are closer to Mexico. Hopefully around December they offer specials and you can benefit from them.

Not sure if this will work for everyone but we registered our wedding with the event savers department with Airtran, any of our guests who choose to fly Airtran get 10% off the published fare.

You can do this with American too.  I believe it was 10 guests have to book their flights directly through american to get the discount... We got the cheapest fares directly through US Air, just a thought for those using the discount sites, sometimes the airlines are cheaper directly.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
