thanks very much. I love the organizing. ; ) and you have the ultimate freedom with weebly to design a website however you'd like, which was my fav part.

congrats on finding your dress!! as far as invitations, my Save the Dates went out in March of this year, and the formal invites were mailed in early August. I was trying to give people as much notice as humanly possible (some even panicked after the STDs that they hadn't received a formal invite, thinking the wedding was this year, not 2012 ; ). honestly, I don't know that it netted us any more guests than if we'd just sent them out now. the majority of invitees aren't sure where they'll be financially by next May, so now we're just waiting. I extended the RSVP deadline from November 30, 2011 to March 1, 2012 and plan to send a reminder postcard mid-Feb 2012. although my timing was maybe too far in advance, I think it's best to give people as much notice as possible for a destination wedding so they can plan their (annual) vacations accordingly.

Hey ladies!

Just noticed this thread, I'm May 22, 2012 at the Gran Bahia Principe Tulum in Mexico.

Invites are sent out and I'm finally starting to get some RSVP's. I'm meeting my MOH in Vancouver next weekend to do some planning and dress shopping! Looking forward to hearing from some May brides!

I did my STD's as luggage tags from etsy designer Mavora back in July these coincided with the launch of our website, that of which was included on the STD tags.  I just recently sent our our boarding pass invites, designed them myself, printed etc...  Indeed a real labor of love but so worth it in the end! Saved me a ton of money!  Our invites were really more of a formality as our families are the only ones in attendence and we already know who's going.... Will be sending out actual clear plastic luggage tags for our guests in March to get them excited!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
