We're staying at our resort for 9 nights. We will arrive on Thursday to meet with our wedding planner. We will have the weekend with our parents then get married on Sunday. Our parents will leave on Monday morning and we will stay for our honeymoon until Friday. Woo Hoo! It's going to be amazing!!!

we're planning to do the same thing, though there still may be guests around after the ceremony. I've heard of people switching resorts but couldn't imagine leaving ours - after all, that's why we chose it!! : )

Thanks for the input! We are booked for flights and at 2 resorts!! We are staying Mon-Mon (our wedding is Sunday) at the resort where we will be getting married and then we are switching resorts!!

I was soo excited to book flights and was thankful they were very reasonably priced for how far out we are! Have you ladies booked any flights yet?

We are not switching resorts. We are staying 10 days. Sunday - Tuesday, married on Thursday so we figured everyone would leave by Sunday. Well I found out my FMIL is leaving the same day we are :( She booked till Tuesday & I told her what days we were staying before she booked....BOO! LOL

Oh well, I figure the resort is big enough so we would be able to get some alone time if we tried.

I have not booked our flight yet. I keep checking the airfare every week in hopes that it will get cheaper. Right now its at $588 round trip for 2. I am hoping in the fallwinter it drops but we shall see. My luck it will go up...

We're booked at Sun Palace Resort and our parents are booked at Cancun Resort which both are under Palace Resorts. You could always do something like that. You can have them there when you want them but not when you want that romantic time with your new hubby :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
