Affordable Reception Location/Catering

I'm getting married in September and have already decided on the Kukahiko Estate for my ceremony.  I'm looking for a super affordable reception space with buffet or plated dinner for 15-25 people.  Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?  I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on it, but I want it to be somewhat nice.

Thanks in advance!

Have you given thought to a luau? It might sound cheesy but its alot of fun and group interactive. We went to the Luau at the Grand Wailea and it was top notch! Service, food, entertainment, the whole 9 yards ... My husband and I did that for our wedding dinner and we can't say anything negative about the experience. We even were pulled on stage to dance. The staff made us feel special and we had some of the best seats in the house. Perfect way to unwind and end to our Hawaiian wedding day.

Just a thought :)

We are looking at holding our ceremony at Kukahiko Estate as well.  How is it there?  Did you get ready in the cottage?  Since we are doing ceremony only, we don't have access to the main house so I was curious what the cottage is like, if it is nicely furnished, if it is one big room or has seperate rooms,  how big (how many people can be inside the living room area)?  I couldn't find any pictures of the cottage online....only the main house.

Were you happy with the Kukahiko Estate or are there draw backs?  Recommended?

Windy out?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
