I know! I was just talking to my mom as I'm now in crunch time getting all the little stuff figured out (invitations, etc) and I'm just 4 months away.... which I know will go so fast! I do remember looking on here when it was a year away, and it just felt like days ago!

Can't wait to see your review/photos!

You'll get it done, just keep at it continuously. Everything we had total control of we got done early, so my stress in the last few weeks has really been with the resort and (still) with the florist, so I'm sooo glad the rest is settled.

This past week has had it's stressful moments for sure, but I've also had time to relax, go to the gym, meet up with friends, etc. without feeling panicked. Gotta keep a balance right? With just a couple of days to go, I almost don't care about what's left to do - I just want to be there!

I also am a little more than four months out and still have not sent invitations. We sent out Save the Dates over the summer with our web wedding site address which has all the information on it. For whatever reason, I am dreading invitations and tried to find a way to avoid them but don't think its possible because we are also having an "At Home Reception" and inviting about 230 people. I really hate the idea of spending hundreds of dollars on invitations (much rather putting it towards something that will be more memorable in my eyes - photography or a group excursion, etc) and was going look into making them myself but haven't had the chance with everything else going on in my life. I think I need to just suck it up and get it done but I guess I just needed to vent lol...

Hi Laura - Did you include an RSVP section on the website? If you did and people have already been responding on the website, you may be able to avoid the invitations. Are you inviting the same people to your wedding and your at home reception? If so, you could combine the invitations instead of doing two separate versions. Since the invitations are a lower priority for you, check into some of the standard invitations kits that you print at home. They are probably less expensive than having someone do something fancy for you, and would be less time consuming than creating something from scratch on your own.

If you have had a good response to your destination wedding without invitations then I wouldn't send out invitations either lol I'd just email and call to let people know.

If you're having trouble wrangling people then sending invitations might help.

I did the 'print yourself' kit from Michaels, it came to about 40 cents per invitation. The stamp was more expensive lol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
