LOVE the list!  so nice to see everyone's dates!!!  i was tickled to see mine!!!!

 

i sent out my save the dates a year in advance, that way folks would have 12 solid months to plan and save.  so far we have 16 people booked including the bride & groom..we have quite a few family and friends who insist they are going but with the way rates are looking right now, the longer they wait the more they're likely to pay.  i had a big rush of bookers last month as it appeared that iberostar was running a hotel special..now prices are back to being sky high...i check the rates on expedia, etc. on a daily.  can u say OBSESSED!!!  i MUST find the best deal..then i do a blast email to our family and friends with the hope that they will be booking...i trust most will and those that don't..well, that's ok too.  afterall, whoever is supposed to be there...WILL be there!  Happy Planning, all!!!  R~

We got engaged in December, and sent STD's in January, which is over 10 months in advance.  But the prices are so high, it's really really really stressing me out. We're actually telling people to wait until summer to book, and we'll get some more group quotes later. I'm afraid that people are looking at the high prices now, and deciding not to go based on that :(  So let's all hope and pray that they go down soon, but I think the high gas prices aren't helping.  I think most of my guests will end up staying at the Beach, but our wedding is at the Suites.  I'm considering moving it to the Beach, but I don't know if our date is free (it probably isn't), and since their wedding coordinator left, it must be tough to get a hold of them now.  Wish me luck!

The day passes are only $30 if staying at other Iberostar properties, and we decided early on that we would pay it for our guests who are staying at the Beach.  We're looking to book packages, instead of hotel and flight separately, so nothing's done yet.  I just emailed for a few more quotes, and I should visit my own TA soon.  So stressful!

o ok thats right....I think it is $100 a person if they are staying at another resort besides Iberostar, sorry.  yeah it is stressful, but try not to worry urself too much about getting the "perfect" price. People will be there for you if they want to be :)

11-6-11 at the Suites then honeymoon at Couples Swept Away in Negril.  Great idea on the roll call - I love it!!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
