Gift for 16yr old MOH?

Recommended Posts

How about a nice starfish necklace?  I am planning on giving my 12 year old daughter a white gold and diamond starfish necklace.  I think it is so appropriate, and I love the meaning behind the starfish.  It is costing a little under $300.  But, if you do a search, they have so many different options at many different price levels.

Good luck!

I really like the idea of the necklace because it's more.... personal than a gift card... and aside from the fact that I love the necklace itself (AH TIFFANYS), you know she'll treasure it for a while. Even as she gets older :)

However, if that's a little bit too much, maybe you could get her a special day in advance, like a spa day? 16 year old girls don't really get that many spa days, haha (well, in MY day they didn't) and a nice massage, mani/pedi, and facial would be nice (and less expensive than the necklace if you get it in a package). It depends on whether or not you're feeling OK with the fact that.. well.. it wouldn't be a "tangible" gift. but IMHO, people care more about experiences than just goods, is all I'm saying.

Make her day special, right?

It depends, you know her best! Some 16 year olds I know would love the little pendant from Tiffany's - and some would rather the latest smartphone... :)

My Goddaughter is my Jr Bridesmaid and she will just have turned 14 when we get married next year.. but so far she's definetely not the jewelry type. I'd like to get her maybe a little camera or camcorder or something. If I upgraded her phone she would be dying to use it but not allowed to for a week because we'll be in the caribbean, lol.. we'll see

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
