I didn't ... but I think if you can find your dress in a store and try it on ... then find the same dress online fo a better price, then go for it!

I wouldn't buy it without having already tried it on, personally, because I found that some of the dresses I LOVED on the rack or in magazines looked HORRIBLE on me ... but others I wouldn't have usually tried on looked PERFECT.

I agree with Foxytv.

I think you should try them on in person. The material might be too heavy, it might bunch in the wrong places, you wont be able to see the detail of the beading etc. Unless you find soemthing you love in the store & then order it from the web.

there is a thread around her somewhere with places to buy your dress online. If I remember correctly, someone had problems with house of brides, but there are other places that people had really good luck with. I think RK bridal was one people really liked.

If you do a search on this site you should be able to find the threads.

Oh and just to let you know I found my dress in a bridal store first and tried t on THEN I shopped around for prices. I was really hesitant about ebay but I saw some good reviews on another wedding forum about bestbridalprices and they had my dress fr about 45% cheaper so I went ahead and ordered it online from them.

Good luck :)

  • 2 months later...

I finally found my dress at a local boutique but I saw it online at bestbridalprices for $250 cheaper.

Raeka ~ Did you receive your dress yet from bestbridalprices? How has the experience been? I am just worried that the dresses aren't authentic or the material is different.

Thanks.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
