Jay almost saw my dress the night before when it was delivered to the room after being pressed and steamed. He aswered our room door. I was in the bathroom. All of a sudden I hear..."I can't see that...Sweetie?" It was cute....he treated it like kryptonite. He so did not want to see it until I walked down the aisle.

Personally, I'm traditional and love the anticipation so I would never show the dress. But like everything, it's personal preference.

lol. Tom doesn't want to see mine either. I was going to move it to a friends house, but he won't even go into the bedroom where it is... so I guess I have nothing to worry about.

Nope, not bad at all. I was really concerned about wearing something that FI would love, so I showed him some pix in a few bridal magazines and asked what he liked. I'm fairly certain he knows I'll go with a mermaid style that has some lace. But beyond that, he hasn't seen the actual dress...and he won't until the big day! :)

Everton didn't see my dress before I walked down the isle, and I am so glad, he whispered how breathtaking I was. Everton described what he thought my dress would look like to me so he was very surprised that it didn't have a mermaid look to it (I wore that to my first wedding, so I wanted a more romantic feel this time) he was also surprised at the pick ups with the roses, so not me but it felt perfect, and it was. It was fun surprising him.

I was thinking that when I begin to try them on...I will take pictures of course and show them to him and then see which ones he likes on me and then pick from those (providing I like it) and then just not show him which one I decided on.

This way I will know he likes it and yet it will still be a bit of a surprisehuh.gif

My FI and I sat down with some bridal mags & davids bridal catalogs and we went through and I showed him dresses I liked and he told me which ones he liked. For the most part we liked the same ones. I don't see how any FI could be disappointed when their soon to be wife walks down the aisle, glowing.

I had my hubby look at the davids bridal catalog and pick out the dresses he liked, I actually didn't go with any of them, but I knew the style he liked by the ones he chose. It made him feel enough of the process but then he didn't have to actually see the dress.

My DH didn't want to see my dress at all before the wedding, he said he wanted it to be a surprise since we weren't doing alot of the normal traditions. All I told him was the color of my dress and that it had a train (of course I had to explain to him what a "train" was, lol)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
