We got married on 10/2/10, just getting around to getting these pictures posted…..so sorry….I got so many awesome ideas from the gals on this forum, Iâ€ve got to pay it forward.  Lots of ramdom and organized stuff…..lol….!!  This is my planning thread!!!!

    pics for thread.jpg

This was my inspiration for my colors and the florist did an amazing job reproducing this in Mexico

This is a picture of the pre-departure boxes I sent to all my guests 2 weeks before the trip…..They had The travel brochure (created on Vistaprint), Spanish for Dummies handbooks, puzzle books, palm tree pens,  luggage tags, cards displaying the layout of the resort (vistaprint), Spread Love not Germs baggies (tissue and hand sani), peanuts, gum and mints!  Everyone loved getting the packages and they psyched everyone up for the trip!!!

Next is Pictures of my OOT Bags!

They had Towels, cdâ€s, Wedding Survival kits, Coozies (which everyone used because the resort served cans of Bud-light!) travel candels, disposable cameras, lanyards/key card holders, bags of candy (in organge paper bags w/ a label on in that said “how sweet it is†Kevin and I each picked our 2 favorites, sorry no pics), do not disturb signs!  Feel like Iâ€m forgetting something but it was 5 months ago…..oh a welcome letter….Iâ€ll add that stuff at the end!!   I used yellow, pink and white straw bags and tied on XL postcards (vista print, again!)  PS…..for the single guys I used drawstring nylon backpacks.  No pics of the lanyards….got the basic idea from the forum and just personalized them!!!

These next pictures are just random décor at the reception etc:

This is set at home but this is the general idea on the plates….maracas (group favorite) and menu cards…Our table numbers where pictures of beachs w/ names of different areas of mexico ie: cancun, cabo, playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras etc, the seating cards (starfish) where all lined up in a big basket of sand……Chair sashes, flip flops, pashminas, ring bearerer pillow??.....lol ……

The above picture actual table at the wedding!!!!  Hey didnâ€t think I had one….great!!!

Well thatâ€s about it for now …..this wedding consumed so much of my life, hard to believe itâ€s all over!!! If I can share one piece of advice……..Enjoy every second, it is a memory faster than you can imagine!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
