Sllefebvr - Holy Moly $40k!  Yowza - are you paying for everyone's rooms?  What wedding package did you go with?  I am doing the Beautiful Begginings my additions are as follows:

Room $800-900 per person (I am only paying for myself, groom and my daughter)

Flights $600 per person (again only buying 3)

Make-up $55

One man steel drummer - $250 1hr

DJ - $600

2hr reception dinner for 50 - $2500

4 extra tables for reception - $400

2 dozen cupcakes - like $75

Of course I have to pay for photos which is apparenlty going to cost me my right leg - lol - $1500.  But I have seen the digital photo book you get and it was amazing!!!  Did you ladies know that the photog's go around resort the whole stay and take your photos during your stay too so you and your friends can buy them before leaving the resort - kinda cool.

I am bringing my own bouquet and some corsages since they are so stinking expensive at the resort.  My friend is going to do my hair as they typically charge $250 to do this.  Of course my dress and groom attire along with my daughters bridesmaid dress.

Unless you are getting a suite and one of the wedding packages I have no idea why you are getting to this expense.  I am curious though :)

If you have a travel agent you need to look into their honeymoon registry!  You set it up and people buy "things" like spa services, excursions, etc and what you actually get is a check before you leave for your weddingmoon so you can apply that money to whateever you like!!

Also my TA got me the coins when she went to Jamaica recently.

FutureMRzMalone - yikes on Chloe...where has she gone???  I too am so thankful for all the ladies and support of this website....this would be impossible without them!!

Thanks, I have now deiced to go with the BB theme and save some cash. But now I am having trouble picking my colors. Cause the flowers are purple I feel I need to have purple in the colors but I would love to use orange and teal,  I'm not sure how it will work with the purple. I am going to bring silk flowers for the bouquets but the table still has the purple right. Oh and dose anyone know the option for where you can do the reception? Like can it be on the beach?

Hi!

I thought I'd post some of my photos from Beaches Negril.  The photos are:

Beautiful Begininnigs ceremony with additional Vision in White Arch

Beautiful Beginnings white flower table setting (we only had three tables, so they were all faced towards eachother)

Oceanside Luncheon Buffet pics

A Red Stripe photo op!

Our Ceremony was on the beach and reception was in the gazebo right next to the ceremony site.  It was amazing and very low key, we had 22 people including us.

Hello. I got married at Sandy Bay 11-11-11. I would just do the bb theme. It is a waste of money. I bought with me extra candles. Which they put in the tables. I had over 30 people. They were alittle overwhelmed that day. The had 7 weddings booked . The basic theme is beautiful.
They had 7 weddings in 1 day??? I thought they only did 1/day. That's crazy

I'm so sorry to hear that!  I got married at Beaches Negrli and it is BEAUTIFUL.  They will do their best to accomodate you and the wedding coordinators at Beaches are great.  I had to change my wedding last minute from Beaches Turks and Caicos to Beachcs Negril and we had zero complaints.  My wedding was at 11am and while it was bright, and I'm very fair skinned and squinity, it was so beauitful with the clear sky for photos.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
