Timing on sending out of wedding invites

Recommended Posts

What timelines have you all used for sending out the wedding invites in order to get your RSVPs and final head count in time to make reception, cocktail hour, etc. decisions for a Palace wedding. I'm getting married @ Beach Palace on July 1, 2011, and believe I have to make the decisions on reception, etc 60 days prior. Thank you!

I'm getting married in Nov. I'm about to send my STDs out soon, def by the beginning of March. I'm planning on getting my invites out at the beginning of June with the RSVP date for Aug 5th ( 3 months prior to wedding) that way I have a final head count a month before i need to get all the final info to my wc.( 60 days out) Is this reasonable?

I plan on sending my STD at least a year in advance. Invitations probably 2 months after. I am looking to have an April 2012 wedding and at the hotel I am looking at you can drop any unused reserved rooms 90 prior to your wedding. I'd like for everyone to have their travel booked by December the latest. :)

I am getting married in April2012 & just ordered my STDs. I plan on sending them out in April to have a years notice for family & friends to save for the trip. Then I will send out the invites about 3 months later(July) with RSVPs. The date of the RSVPs I am not sure of yet. But the 90 days is probably a good idea. Good call! Tks!

  • 1 month later...

My wedding is April 21, 2012 - I've ordered my STDs and hope to have them mailed within the next few weeks to give my friends/fam plenty of time to plan and save...wasn't sure when to send out the invites, but from you ladies with April '12 dates, July-ish seems to be a good time :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
