Cancun DJs? Doremixx, DJ MAnnia and Discomovil... any others?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I've been scouring the boards for any other DJ choices than the above.. . of the above, Discomovil seems the lowest priced with good reviews... anyone know of any others that are lower or similarly priced than Discomovil? I think they had quoted me around $550 for 4-5 hrs, which is super reasonable. If I can get my Palace WC to agree to let me bring in an outside DJ, it looks like they will allow it for some with a $250.00 fee. *fingers crossed* I had my heart set on the lighted dance floor and Discomovil does not offer this option, but I like their prices. I am hoping to find a DJ with Discomovil prices and a lighted dance floor option. The reason I would like the option of the lighted dance floor is that I currently have NO idea how many people will end up coming and I think it may look ridiculous to have a lighted dance floor for under 20 people- and then of those 20 probably only half will dance. Any ideas? And if anyone has had a reception with a small amount of people dancing with a lighted dance floor, did you feel it was sort of a waste of your money? Thanks!

I am going with Mood Event Services.  DJ Julian from Mood Event Services has been really helpful and gives a lot of information.  His prices are very similar to Discomovil (I checked with them too).  Mood Event Services offers lightup LED dance floors.  I'm hoping to use the lightup dance floor too.  I don't know how many people I'll have and I don't care. hahahaha

Anyway, I met DJ Julian in January when he happened to be traveling to Houston.  He's fluent in English, so that's a big plus!  You can contact him at [email protected]

Hey there!

Congrats on your wedding!

How was DJ Julian in the end?  Would you recommend him?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
