Welcome! I'm getting married in Mexico but I've seen weddings in Jamaica and they are so beautiful. Try using the search feature to help you look for reviews on your location.

I hope you find great ideas on here. All the brides are so helpful!

Good luck with planning.

Hi!  I'm getting married in St. Thomas on October 6 2012.  I'm considering Wyndham Sugar Bay as well... but I'm leaning more towards Marriott Frenchman's Reef.  Mostly because that's where my fiance proposed last month-- yay!  I also really like the way that their packages are set up.  I haven't had any luck getting any price/package info from Wyndham.  There is a thread on here from a girl that had a wedding there recently though:  http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/71081/st-thomas-wedding-recap

The poster also mentioned that you should send your marriage license application early and call to check & make sure it got there because their court system (and mail) is a bit iffy.

Thanks for the link to the other thread!  It seems that so many people consider St. Thomas but eventually change their minds and go to other parts of the Caribbean.  I put my deposit down a few weeks ago for the Wyndham.  To get the wedding packages info, I had to fill out a form on their website http://www.wyndham.com/contact/eform_contact_wedding_requestpricing.wnt, then click on a link that was sent to my email.  From there, the wedding department emails you the packages.  If you've already tried this, I could email you the information if you like.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
