budget photography??

Recommended Posts

We used them in February when we were married at Gran Melia!  Absoluetly the best photographers you can imagine.  Lorena also helped me get ready while taking some great photos.  The pricing is great and they will provide you with ALL of your photos and retouch some for you as well.  We received 4 cds of pictures.  They were the best!

If anyone is considering flying down a photographer you should try Genevieve Albert out of Quebec. Her pictures are out of this world and her rates are really affordable! Here's her website:

She can't schedule anymore Cuba weddings for the next year but I know she's open to flying to other destinations. I booked her for my wedding in April 2012 and I can't wait!

Good luck with the search ladies!

I feel you girl!!!!  I was shocked at the photography sticker price for a wedding.  The typical wedding photographer (that I loved, anyway) tripled my budget.  Im a huge fan of photojournalism and knew i would look at the pics daily for the next ten years (ha), but couldnt bear the idea of going into debt over a wedding photographer.

With that said, after about 40 combined hours of searching for a photographer (no joke), I found (www.erickpozos.com)  He's PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!  He is one of the top destination photographers in the world (even teaches at wedding photography conventions here in the states), yet is a fraction of the price of del sol (dont get me wrong, they take beautiful pics, but I just didnt have several thousand to drop on photography).  He lives in Mexico, but it was cheaper to fly him to Jamaica to shoot our wedding than it was to use one of the mediocre photographers there.  We just had our wedding last week so it will be a while before the pics are ready, but some sneak previews should be coming soon at http://www.facebook.com/#!/erickpozos

or www.facebook.com/erickpozos

In the meantime, here's the only photo he sent so far

http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=10150622787905088&set=a.10150620186975088.689246.654590087&type=1&theater

if that doesnt work, I'm posting it to my profile on this site.

Bonus: He's super, duper nice... he even researched cheaper flights for several hours so i would save money on flying him out there and found a deal $150 cheaper than what I found.  Plus, he speaks great english (sometimes a hit or a miss with mexico photographers)

Message me if you have any questions

Hey Misti!

My fiance and I were planning on getting married at Secrets Maroma in the Riviera Maya March 2012.  Love love love Erick Pozos's photography!  Any idea of what the ballpark is on his services??  I too have financial constraints and cannot afford expensive photographers.  Thanks!

My wedding photographer was from the resort. We did a free photo session on our visit and was just floored by his niceness and amazingness in pictures. So glad we found him before shelling out $6k+ on Elizabeth Medina. We're also doing our TTD photos with him for $900 that includes all pictures and admission to the Cenotes. His name is Jhankarlo Amaro http://www.flickr.com/photos/jhankarloamaro/ some of his photos and you can definitely find him on facebook too. Here is our engagement photos. http://web.mac.com/vallarta_adventures/SlideshowsNOSRC/SOUSA/ He works with Adventure Photos. His email address: [email protected]

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
