hey!!! I just had my wedding at the Barcelo on the 24th of October and I just want to say that it was the most amazing experience!!!! It was absolutley perfect! The wedding coordinators did an amazing job and I couldn't have asked for more!!!!

we took the mint breeze package and we had our ceremony at the gazebo, our reception inside the banquet hall ( which everyone thanked for in the end as it was sooooo humid and hot outside) Abigail and Ariadna are the two coordinators working at the Barcelo, they know what they are doing. We had the reception go until 1am as I was doing it inside so it was allowed to go later.

I hired Marcie Castro for my music ( ceremony and reception) and she was exceptional!!!!

Alina Gomez did my cupcakes and cakes and they were so tasty!!!!

Girls may stress about the lack of communcation- but trust me!!!!!! they had 6 weddings mine being the 6th so you have to try and understand that they are very busy and 1-2 months before you are heading to the resort they DO get in touch with you, just focus on securing your date and then sit back and decide what you want and have everything laid out for the girls when they get in touch with you.

Happy Planning everyone!!!!!!

Hi everyone, congratulations and welcome to the forums!  I was married at Barcelo Los Cabos  Nov. 15, 2011.  I wanted to share my experience with you, I hope you find it help!

We went with the Strawberry Passion package and had our ceremony on the beach at 4:30pm, followed by a private beach reception from 6:00pm until 11:00pm.  We had a seated four course dinner, the food was delicious my guests all said it was the best meal of the week.  The resort set up a private bar as well as a wooden dance floor on the beach.  We hired a DJ (Marcie Castro she was wonderful and has a beautiful voice.) for both the ceremony and reception; she played the piano and sang for the ceremony and also sang some beautiful songs during dinner.  It was a real bonus to have live music while eating!

For the reception, we used some of our own music; yet it was nice to have the personal touch to have someone play requests and get the older generation on the dance floor!  We hired a local off-site photographer and an off-site videographer (Carlos Aboyo and Jorge Ibarra both do beautiful work and they worked very well together).  I would highly recommend using a videographer; it is surprising how much you miss when looking back on your big day - you may even find yourself having difficultly remembering the speeches after only a few days have passed, a videographer can help you capture each special moment.  When I play the video of our wedding, it takes me back and allows me to relive that unforgettable day all over again and it was well worth the money spent.

Our wedding coordinators did a fabulous job; they stayed until the very end of the reception, ensuring everything ran smoothly – and even went as far as sweeping the sand off the dance floor!  We were so happy with the outcome, the resort was gorgeous, the weather was perfect and we shared some unforgettable memories with our closest friends and family.

Experiencing a destination wedding is an incredible journey, take it all in and enjoy every minute of it.

Happy Planning!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
