I went through the wedding stash in my closet this weekend and took inventory to figure out where I am and what I'm missing. I'm starting to get a better idea of a guest count, so maybe I actually start putting together OOT bags soon!

I also ordered my undergarments and dinner/AHR shoes this weekend - can't wait to get them! These are the shoes - Maribelle peep toes from Davids:

The nerves are actually starting to get to me! I'm having trouble falling asleep at night, not trouble sleeping, just falling asleep. Can't turn my brain off and so much to think about! But it's fun stuff :-)

I sent my invites out in September too, but made the deadline for RSVPs February 6th at the suggestion of my TA - I have received a TON of 'yes's' back, but only a few have booked, so dealing with the same issue. I TOO am surprised more ppl haven't booked, but several just started booking this week (I guess just waiting after Christmas, New Year's, or perhaps til the last minute of my RSVP date?)...

I was going to send out a gentle email reminder, but an Evite would work just as great (and I like your wording).

Soooo frustrating when you're just trying to get a head count, I know....good luck though!!

We sent out our wedding invitations in September for our April wedding. Made the RSVP November 1. Wanted to give everyone more than enough time.

Some of the people who RSVP'd that they were coming haven't booked anything yet and we really need an accurate headcount for obvious reasons.

So I was going to send out an "Evite" reminder to those who have yet to book. It will say that if they don't book by Feb. 28th we will consider them "toasting from afar."

Do you think that's ok?

I wanted to hear from anyone else who's in a similar situation. Also, isn't it safe to say that if you haven't booked yet for a trip to Mexico in April, you probably aren't going??!

I mean, come on, right?

As our guest count is 88 I'm hoping that the few who have yet to book don't. We sent out STD's almost a year in advance with invitations out 9 months before. Most people have booked we actually just have one of our groomsmen book this week and our wedding is in three months.

We had  a certain date  we had to drop any rooms that we weren't using without being penalized. Maybe you can send them an email just letting them know that rooms are filling up and to book. I know it's frustrating because with a dw you have to plan so much ahead.

At the end of the day you can only hint so much. Also with the holidays just passing I'm sure everyone is trying to recuperate. Hopefully more people book good luck!

I can't believe our wedding days are so close!!

I was in the same boat with the rest of you girls and no one was booking.  Everyone waited until the very last week to book their trips.  FI finally made me realize that as him and I are there, that's the only thing that matters.

Have any of you picked your wedding song yet?  I'm pretty sure we are going with God Blessed the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts.  Love that song but it makes me cry every time I hear it! Lol!!

I sent out my invites in September as well and set a RSVP date of December 1st. I sent a mass email mid December and many of them booked soon after. I'm giving everyone the middle of February and if they don't book, oh well.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
