We confirmed our date April 17, 2012 at the Moon Palace.  Our boarding pass STD's were a huge hit with everyone, and we just went to a family wedding last night and a lot of his aunts and uncles who we weren't sure would go are very excited about going, so that is a big YAY.

We will be taking a break for a while for making things.  We figure out invites will go out in May/June when flights can be arranged.  I think I might still format things that I want to make, but I feel good about what I have done so far.

Congrats ladies!!!

Question, how long is everyone staying at the resort? We are not doing 2 separate resorts, just staying at the same. We are getting married on a Thursday & plan on going the Sunday before but not too sure on when to come home. I want to stay as long as possible but FI gets antsy after laying on a beach for 5 days. He was thinking Sunday - Sunday but I wasn't sure if that was long enough seeing as some of our guests said they were staying a week as well....was curious as to what everyone else was doing.

The only planning I have done so far was block rooms at the resort & order my STDs...which I cant wait to get back & mail out!

We are going on a sunday, getting married the Wed and staying for two weeks in total, and we are switching resorts just because some of our guests are staying two weeks and we want to spoil ourselves with a high end resort. So the sunday after the wedding, that everyone goes home we will transfer to another place...still undecided on which one to go to though.

My FI gets antsy as well so we are going to do some tours our second week there that way it gives us something to do other than just lay on the beach.

We are debating between 10 or 14 days.  We are getting married on a Tuesday and have to be at the resort 2 business days before.  So we are thinking Friday to Friday for 2 weeks and that will get us a little bit of a time to come back and relax before having to go back to work.

We sent out our STD's last week, now it is just a waiting game.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
