I have been really busy with life that the planning comes and goes :-)  Pilar was cool with Diego I just have to pay the fee for him to be on the resort that day.  As a matter of fact before I sent Diego the deposit I emailed Pilar to ask if she knew him and she said no but she went to his site and said his pictures were good :-).  He was actually recommended to me by the photographer you booked, who was not free my day.  So you will be fine!

Did Now Jade give you a problem hiring Diego Munoz as your photographer? I was speaking to our DW consultant last night and she got very stern with me about some resorts not allowing local photographers. But it seems like so many brides here go with local photographers outside the package. I sent an email to Pilar and am waiting for a response but our consultant kinda freaked me out because I've already signed a contract and made a deposit with a local. Please give me a heads up when you get a chance. I hope you can send me some good news.

Yes Charneice, thanks so much for your response. Pilar finally wrote back and told me about the fee which is not too bad. Diego's pics look awesome as well. I saw that he and Oscar teach workshops together online so I think we're definitely in good hands. Did you ever work it out with the resort on the outside florist?

Hey girls!

I am a NOW Larimar bride in Punta Cana.  We can't seem to get the WC to respond to us lately so I was wondering how much Pilar told you the day pass for the outside photographer is? Is it around $75?I had heard that at one time, but I wasn't sure and have booked an outside photographer already.  Also, when you guys say expenisve for flowers, how expensive and what kind of flowers are they including in the packages?

Thanks for your help...we are getting nowhere lately with the WC at the Larimar. They just changed from NH Real to NOW, so we are thinking that is the problem.  Thanks!

Hey there,

 

I have been working with Vanessa Jaimes (www.vanessajaimes.com).  She has been great.  My BM and I are going that morning to pick up the flowers from her since my wedding is at 5:30.  Pilar said it was fine if I brought the flowers myself on the resort (though I am sure they will charge some fee to put it on the table! Crazy) but anyway I am just going to do it early Friday morning, I think I will still come out cheaper using her and getting really nice flowers.  Her arrangements are great! I am waiting to get a price quote for what I asked for.  I will let you know when it comes.

Hi Amber,

 

Yes, it's around 75. My wedding is a year out so I haven't gotten too deep into the flowers yet. But the prices for bouquets & centerpieces in the wedding book is comparable to prices here in the US. I would like to get an outside florist as well but won't cross that bridge for another 6 months or so. Sorry to hear about the delay. Hope you hear back from your WC soon. Good luck!

Congratulation on your upcoming wedding!!  We photographed a wedding in Now Jade last week.   The resort was lovely.   Very intimate and quiet.  The beach was secluded for the ceremony.  The couple was very pleased with their choice to use Now Jade.  From a photographer's perspective it was a great location for photos as well.

HI there - I'm getting married at the NOW Jade Resort April 21, 2012 - Was wondering if you heard back from the florist? I read a couple posts that the flowers are quite expensive if you purchase thru the resort..... Let me know thanks!!

 

Also - Does anyone offer any insight on the DJ / Photographer situation?

I am planning on getting married this comming Feb, my TA showed me this resort( Now Jade) and I fell in love! Im from Vancouver and I need a good travel agent. Mine is good but our rate was over 2000 and said she couldnt get it cheaper. Please let me know the name of your travel agent!

But after a few arguments they've actually stepped up and so far pretty happy with them. They found me the group rate.
