Recent or new weddings at NOW JADE...

Recommended Posts

We are getting married at Now Jade on November 27, 2011, funny but some of you I could still see there. Anyway, I attended our friends' wedding there in October 2010, so for me it is much easier to organized, since I've been on a guest side. I know what we loved and I know what we didn't like much, so I am going to try to fix it.

If I can be any help for you to answer questions, it will be my pleasure.

Hi Charneice! Congrats!! Sounds like everything is going very well :) We're getting married in June 2012 and I'm wondering if you can let me know who you went with for flowers and also, did you choose their photographer?

You look like a beautiful couple. Best of luck & enjoy every minute!!!

Hi there. Thanks! I am using Diego Munoz who was recommended by Gonzalo Nunez which so many brides rave about here but was booked for my day.  Diego has been great though and his pictures are awesome.  You can see them here. www.rivieramayaweddingphotographer.com.  I am still figuring out the flowers, but I am pretty sure I am using an outside florist.  The resort flowers are too expensive. The catch is I will have to go pick them up bc there is 350 charge for an outside florist to set up on the resort and I am not paying for that - but we will see.  The florist I have been working with has a website you can see here  http://www.vanessajaimes.com/.

Hope that helps.  I am still figuring out this gift bag thing for my guest. I can't believe that I am in within 90 days. Times flies.

We are getting a devine package, I think it is good to have all things included, so I don't have to think about a lot of extra things. We will be closing down the French restaurant, so I think it will be private enough. However, if we will end up having over 50 people, I am going to be forced to pick a different location (most likely outdoors). When is your wedding and how many guests are you having? Also, who is your wedding coordinator? Did you pick your locations yet?

Hey Charneice!

How is your planning coming?

Did Now Jade give you a problem hiring Diego Munoz as your photographer? I was speaking to our DW consultant last night and she got very stern with me about some resorts not allowing local photographers. But it seems like so many brides here go with local photographers outside the package. I sent an email to Pilar and am waiting for a response but our consultant kinda freaked me out because I've already signed a contract and made a deposit with a local. Please give me a heads up when you get a chance. I hope you can send me some good news.

I hope all is going gracefully for you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
