Yeah we are doing the wedding group...It's supposed to be 10 percent off whatever the rates are at the hotel....What rates are you getting? The good thing about the group wedding is that we can get group incentives such as free unlimited events and refund for couple.... I think we are paying 223 per person...

Granted I am getting married there in December so it may be cheaper because of the timing...

we are paying 328 I believe for a couple per night. Some of my guests went through a travel agent and were able to get it down to 300 a night. It makes me angry that Hard Rock won't match that rate but they still haven't agreed to, although I am going to keep bugging them. 200 a night for a couple is excellent so good for you for getting it that cheap, i really didn't look anywhere but Hard Rock, i knew that if I did a destination thats what i wanted so I didn't price shop...probably should have lol but too late now. I'm still pretty happy becuase we have 46 guests booked so far and are only 6 room nights away from unlimited free events :) and we haven't even sent out our invitations! they go out this week!

P.S. I highly recommend memories of today for invitations. Thao does an excellent job! I am in love with my invitations!!! :)

  • 2 weeks later...

I was told you can ship directly to hardrock by my wedding coordinator so I believe you can bring your own bouquets and centerpieces, not sure if they charge you a set up fee though for the centerpieces. From what I've seen though it looks like it costs more to send them/bring them with you then in would to just have them do them for you. If you ask them Creative Punta Cana who does their decorations can do just about anything and I didn't find the pricing that bad.

Hope that helps!

Beachbride, so sorry to hear that. I've made all my arrangements directly through the hotel's wedding department. They were able to block the rooms farely quick, all I had to do was pay for my hotel stay to guarantee the room block. Hope this helps. Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
