Yes, the sales coordinator will answer any questions you have. They will most likely send you menus, ceremony locations, entertainment info and reception add ons. Then three months before your date, and on site wedding planner will contact you regarding details. Good Luck!

I'm hoping that HR/Palace Weddings is going to give us more info once we pay the deposit. Also, can anyone tell me what happened after they paid the deposit to confirm their wedding date?

Hi everyone!

My fiance and I are looking into the Hard Rock Hotel for our wedding.  We're going down there for a couple of nights to go check the place out.  But while we're in DR, we would like to visit other hotels as well.  Has anyone done site visits before making their final decision?

Also, are site visits free or do we have to pay for day passes for each hotel visited?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi Jenna,

My name is Michelle and my fiance and I are getting married at the HR PC DR in April 2012. We visited the resort this past May and we loved it! Construction is mostly done - with the exception of some small details...which of course I noticed - but its fine and I'm sure by then it will be completed. Anyway, I had the same concerns about the photographer - the photo samples they showed me while we were down there weren't really impressive; however, I since requested the photographers website and his work looks amazing. I was considering flying in a photographer from NY but in the end...I think I'm going to stick with the photographer the resort uses. You can bring in a photographer from the US but you can not bring in another Dominican photographer. Kinda stinks but those are the rules.

After reviewing the website and loving the photo gallery, I have questions. This seems to be too good to be true so, will someone please clarify for me. Do you really get the different themed wedding packages (amber, sapphire, ruby) that are shown in the pictures for only $1925?

tlogan00- the wedding package prices for those three are 1925. and it shows on the website that the rates are good for 2012.

My Fiance and I have narrowed our choices down to the HR and Majestic Colonial. We were able to get rates from the Majestic for our wedding date of 12/12/12, however we haven't been able to get rates for the HR. Does anyone have any ideas of how the rates are for 2012.? We are trying to keep the guests cost down to a minimum. Any information you can tell me would be greatly appreciated!

Do not hesitate to book with HDC!  Speaking from experience as a bride who planned a destination wedding, I know it can be difficult choosing vendors from afar without an initial meet and greet.  HDC exceeded our expectations in every way!  They were professional, punctual, easy to communicate with, and extremely personable.  They captured all of our great moments from beginning to end, and the images are so beautiful!  They went above and beyond the standard of photography/videography with their creativity, providing us with exceptional photos and memories to last a lifetime.  Not only did Arnaud & Milan make the process stress free, they made it fun!!!  HDC's turn around time was amazing!   I have already recommended them to personal friends who are contemplating a destination wedding.  These are the guys to book for your wedding or any other event!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
