How much are you paying (or did you pay) to get your hair done?

Recommended Posts

I was quoted $100 for someone to come to my room & fix my hair. Is that about right? I haven't had my hair fixed by a pro in a long time. I think I paid $25-$35 for prom, but that was *gasp* almost 10 years ago. It will be really nice to have them come to me.

I think $100 is reasonable for someone good to do your hair for your wedding - but I definitely wouldn't pay $200 or $300! $150 - tops.

Side note: it's only $65 at my resort if you put the veil in yourself. Yeah, that's right $25 for a veil! Man, they sure do take advantage of brides!!

I paid $65 in San Antonio 6 years ago. I was completely shocked at the price. I think I hadn't paid more than $35 before that. That was the last wedding I got my hair fixed for (bridesmaid). After that I did it myself. Nothing great though. For one I put in one of those curly fake hair things. I thought I was going to look silly, but everyone thought I had paid for an updo. Now that my hair is shorter, I just wear it down & curl it for weddings. But now as the bride instead of bridesmaid, I feel like I should let myself spend a little more & have it really pretty.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
