Hi Everyone, I am trying to decide where to have my wedding! I have been engaged for a year but just can't make the commitment! haha I have considered Bahamas, Jamaica and now Punta Cana.  I really was liking ME but also think Colonial is nice too. Then my travel agent suggested Dreams.  I don't think I will be getting married til 2012 at this rate.  Any suggestions to help with the BIGGEST decision of picking the resort?  Reading this thread about rooms booking fast is really scaring me. I also feel like Majestic has a lot of extra charges for an all-inclusive? MandyB LOVE your pictures!! You wedding looked amazing!! Congrats! Thanks everyone! This thread is great!

Sorry, just seeing this now.  Did you make a decision yet?

Hey for any past majestic brides out there....this is a stupid question but are there snacks in the mini bar?  I know that's not an issue in the Elegance Club, but in the regular part of the hotel?  My bro in law visited the Colonial and said there were no snacks.

I am not getting a whole lot of success working with my WC. Every time I ask a question regarding prices and options I get the same info sheets sent tome. Does email not work and I have to suck it up and make in international call? Thanks- Leanne

I think they are really busy right now so I am not sure the phone will work either. I do think at times there is a language barrier so try to make it as simple as you can. You can PM me if you would like and I can try to help. I have bugged my WC so much I think I have all the answers I need. The price list is really hard to figure out. I am still deciding what I am going to pay for and what I will skip.

Hi ladies :) I'm not getting married in the summer of 2011 but I've just booked at the ME for February 7th, 2012 and have a huge favour to ask all those who have already booked group rates for their guests.

I have guests from Canada and the US and have been getting quoted around anywhere from $1580 to $1800 per person for a 7night stay (air + hotel). Is this pretty average ? What kind of rates where you able to get? should I be looking to get better rates or are these rates good and I should book immediately ? Thanks

Hi

It seems about right. I am going during low season and the basic rooms are around 1500 with Air Canada. The Elegance club ca be anywhere for 150 to 300 more. U are going during high season and I know a co worker that went in February this year paid 1950 and half his party didn't get to go because it was sold out. Avoid Sunwing BTW.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
