Majestic Elegance---Summer 2011

Recommended Posts

Hi girls, just thought I could start a thread on those of us getting married at Majestic this summer ( I apologize if there's already something out there! ).

I'll start---August 20th on the beach!

Curious as to whom is getting married there and what their plans are as far as picking flowers, ceremony, room choice, reception information, experience with travel agents and wedding coordinators etc!

Getting married at ME on June 29, 2011 at the gazebo.  Having a cocktail hour, dinner at the steakhouse and reception at the wet bar.  My WC is Stephany and she's been great so far!   Patty Jordan is our TA (she's a bdw TA) and she's been great so far as well.  I'm having cream roses for my bouquet.  I bought chair sashes and table runners (turquoise).  Looking into the freeze dried flower petals... excited to hear more ideas!!!

Yeah I'm trying not to focus on the reviews, but I do try to check in weekly.

Anyway---looking to get ideas I guess as to what you girls seem to be doing on your day and the days leading up to it.

I have corresponded with Lisangeles (not very closely since we only booked the date/time, and received the packet of information).  We do know that 4 PM is the time, and we're hoping to have dinner at the Steakhouse.  So far we have 21 people booked including our photographer and his wife....and we honestly have no clue how many people to expect!  We invited about 66 plus children, which brought us over 100.  Obviously we're not planning to have many kids there since it is a large expense.  Anyway, praying to come in under that 60 count mark to have our dinner in the steakhouse.

Other than that, we'd like to get a DJ and have a reception somewhere....not sure where!  It really all depends on how many people we have I suppose.

We sent save the dates a few months ago, we chose our bridal party and asked them to stand by our side, but have yet to choose colors/flowers/etc.

I'm going to look at dresses at Davids Bridal again today.  Crossing my fingers that I place an order!

Oh and we booked in the elegance club---for 9 nights!

Hi Everyone,

I am getting married on August 2nd. I will be having my ceremony at 6 in the Gazebo with a private dinner at the wet bar. I am planning to have cocktails at 5pm (for the guests) also. I think all of us are confused about the pricing :( Did not see the reviews and I don't plan on it. Too nervous about the whole thing.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
