Thanks for the information! (I got your PM too)

The private cocktail party idea sounds really nice!  I would consider doing just that and not renting out the whole place. I'll have to see once people start booking their trip how many guests we'll actually have. If we end up with only 15-20 people coming I guess it'd be kinda weird and too empty if we rented out the whole restaurant. I just want to be able to decorate and make it look more elegant, and i agree i also don't want other resort guests all around us in their swim suits and flip flops gawking at us.

That's awesome you can rent the DJ for the cocktail party too, the terrace looks nice and the original thing that drew me to Uncle Tony's was that it's open air so having the party out there would be perfect. So basically you'd eat dinner inside the restaurant with other random guests around and then move out to the terrace to party? Okay this sounds more and more awesome the more I think about it haha. I'll probably tell her we're having about 40 guest though just incase we want to rent out the whole place.

My wedding isn't until January 18,2012 (tentatively, i'm waiting to hear back from her, i sent my request in on monday) but i'm so excited for the wedding and obsessed with planning and organizing so i've been looking at a lot of my different options already and trying to figure out a basic plan.

Are you getting a different reception dress to change into? I feel like if i were walking around a restaurant in a wedding dress people would gawk at me and that would annoy me haha.

Honestly, Your reaction to  cocktail party makes me feel at ease :)!!!!!!  I know its not what i expected or wanted  but regardless it will be a great celebration!!.. (maybe a little cheaper than the private option)

From what i see in the  pictures and what I have heard is -Uncle Tony's has a massive Patio.. which would make it  easier to get a spot away from other guests on the patio....weather permitting of course.

      Temeica sent me this:

      • Mento Band (per hour) 300 hr
      • Steel pans Band (per hour) 350
      • Violinist (per hour) US$ 300
*Other musicians & bands available upon request.   Musicians fees are payable in cash to the wedding coordinator before the event day    DJ & Sound System PRICE
      • Price Per hour US$ 150
      • For Private Reception minimum 3 hours US$ 450
Butterflies Release PRICE 25 butterflies + release box US$  US$  US$ 165  50 butterflies + release box US$  US$  US$ 300  100 butterflies + release box US$  US$  US$ 500    I really want to wear my wedding dress from start to finish...i might get a reception dress incase i get too hot or go dancing after... but I feel its kinda the point to Rock out in your dress....esp after spending big bucks !! lol

Ya, can take a few days  The Waiting game is tough!!!!!!!!! I know I was SO stressed wondering if she got it! If its been more than 3-4 days ...You can always call her? :)  I wish you so much luck.....I am SO EXCITED!!!!!!

Don't stress to much about the details- pick your theme and your photographer. ( Pics last a Lifetime :) The Food, Bar is standard.

Flowers- find what you like and email them to florists for Quotes. Tai Floral is a little pricey but you save money with your wedding package.. and NO VENDOR FEE :)  Working with Jodi-ann is awesome :)  I sent her a ton of Inspiration pics of what i liked -she worked with me to stay within budget and get the look i wanted :)

Also take a look at the buy and sell section on this site- you can find some beachy items for decoration :)

Call them~! I called when I was booking my day to make sure that it was still available, and she told me they work 9 am to midnight! so even if the assistant answers the phone, at least you get answers and don't have to stress anymore (I'm happy I called~!)

Okay! i'm totally calling thanks for the advice!

I picked my theme and colors and even found my bridesmaid dresses already! I'm looking at different photographers now because I definetly want to bring someone in for that but I want to keep it at like 1000 - 1500$ at the most hopefully. Tai floral looks awesome and they got great reviews, i'm glad the resort uses them now! I'm a horticulture specialist so the flowers are very important to me and i'm going to be quite particular about what I want and what it has to look like.

Vendor fees suck. And someone on another thread just mentioned that you also have to get a day pass for those people in addition to the vendor fee! BS

Okay i'm going to call her now thanks ladies
