There is an amazing TTC community on YouTube. I highly suggest checking it out! I've been following TTC'ers and Pregnancy Vloggers for years! Amazing group of people! Great discussions, support, and advice on there! Its also neat to find someone who is due around the same time so you can discuss symptoms, compare bellies and baby development etc, etc...

Just wanted to bump this thread! I don't know if any of the 2011 brides are still checking this thread but i hope all have conceived happy healthy babies! :)

My husband and I were married Nov 2012 both were 25 when we got married.  We have been together for 8 years now and started living together a month before we were married.  I still want that "selfish" time to ourselves until at least our 2 year anniversary.  None of our friends have children yet so that is keeping my itch subsided.  My MOH actually got pregnant in Mexico and is due in August- she lives in Vegas and I live in Illinois so it will be exciting but I won't get to see the baby more than twice a year.

My plan is to have two children by the time I'm 31 so if I have one at 28/29 and then 30/31 I will be good! :)

Good luck to everyone that is currently TTC! :)

So, I'm a 2012 bride - we had difficulty getting pregnant, and had to see a fertility specialist. I ended up conceiving boy/girl twins (without the use of fertility meds!) who are due in September.

Here's my blog: http://ttcbabyp.blogspot.com for anyone having TTC issues....

Ladies, We were married in November and I went off BC right after that, we aren't being crazy just not preventing right now... considering that we have been together 6 years I don't think that we need anymore time being newlyweds but I understand how some guys think that time is needed... LOL @@Lua I think that you are right that guys don't get crazy like us, but I have heard my DH say to a friend a little while ago that he was excited to have kids which is great because I am going to be 31 this year and he is going to be 38 we cant wait much longer LMAO.

As for the original question of making changes before we start really trying I think that we are going to go with the flow and make the changes once we have conceived I don't want to stress my self out making a bunch of life changes before hand!

I am glad to see that this board is a little more active I have been watching, I know how much support I got here when planning my DDW and hope to make new friends here as well!

Hello! I'm happy to have found this thread! We got married in January, our 1 month anniversary is coming up! We decided to TTC right away, we aren't getting any younger! My hubby will be 40 soon and he doesn't want to be chasing toddlers into his 50's. And according to the books my eggs aren't getting any younger either. We decided to wait until after the wedding to try, I didn't want to be pregnant for the wedding/honeymoon, I wanted to be able to have some drinks, plus I was really nervous about being sick. A bride with morning sickness - not cool! I didn't want to have to worry about finding a bathroom all the time when I felt nauseous.

As for making changes, I went off the pill back in May, just b/c I had been on it for so long, I wanted to get it out of my system, plus my BP was high and the doc suspected the pill had something to do with it. (I was planning our wedding at that time...I wonder why my BP was high?!) haha I was working out hard core and eating really well to prepare for the wedding, so that just fits into my lifestyle now, but other than that I haven't made changes yet. I will obviously stop drinking once I'm prego but until then a glass of wine is always nice at the end of the day! Oh yeah, I also started taking a prenatal vitamin in December, for the folic acid and other good stuff your body and future baby needs :)

I have been reading What to Expect Before you are Expecting, it's great! I didn't even know the book existed. It has tons of great information in it, I'm loving it.

Good luck to all you couples TTC, hope to keep this thread going!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
