Hi Ladies!

I just found this website today and have been on it all day trying to learn from all of you.  I even sent some of you messages in other forums.

My name is Michelle, I am getting married at the RIU Palace in Cabo San Lucas on November 5, 2011.

So far, STD were sent in feb. They were postcard style.

I ordered my dress, just came in today, Ill try to upload a pic

My fiance found his tan linen suit but not shirt for underneath.  Still trying to get my bridesmaids dresses picked, freaking me out that they are not.

Ordered invites but havent sent them yet. They are actual Message in bottle invites, soooo pretty

Had a company make me a custom logo for us to use on stationary for itineraries or welcome letters, they also make decals

I ordered welcome bags and ordered several items to go in them. custom big gulp type mugs, since its all inclusive we can fill our mugs, A "Couple" things travel bag that caries suntan lotion, lip balm and hand santizer, custom made hot sauce and more. only fear is people upset they need to fit this in their luggage going home

Not doing full centerpieces cuz sounds like not much room on tables so bought mini starfish and shells to scatter across table.

 

Not set on beach reception or Mexican rest/terrace but do want San Jose Gazebo for ceremony

Also not sure of DJ or just iPod

Any suggestions?

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I LOVE Cabo so I'm sure you'll have a fabulous time! I just noticed the picture of your GORGEOUS dress and wanted to share my site with you. I actually just uploaded pictures of a new bracelet that reminds me so much of your dress here http://ow.ly/5BhdC called the "Rose Halo" Paris-Inspired Bracelet. The flowers are so similar in style and color as the one on your gown!

 

In response to your question...DJ or iPod, we found a DJ worked the best for us for our wedding last year in Riviera Maya. I toggled back and forth with the idea but in the end didn't want to worry about issues going on with our own technology and felt better about leaving that in the hands of professionals...one less thing to take on!

 

Please let me know if you have any questions or need any jewels/hair accessories for your big day or your trip in general! November will be here before you know it! Congrats :)

The nerves haven't set in for me yet - just extreme impatience.  I have had to save up my vacation days at work for this trip so I am really itching to go!

 

I am going to start traveling a decent amount for my job starting in August, so I have been trying to get some of the stuff done ahead of time.  Thus far I have not been successful in convincing my fiance that we need to work on the ceremony script 4 months in advance....  (and of course when I say "work on" I mean him just review and approve/edit the draft I have already written!)

I used DJ Mannia and he was really great. I'm not sure about fees since it really varies by resort, but it ended up being worth the extra money to have him there (in my opinion). Congrats on your wedding and a fabulous date!!!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
