Lol i know the feeling, wedding can be so political can't they! Ah yes London is great for so many things, its a great city. I don't actually live in London, just outside but I go in all the time for work and pleasure.

I have never had the pleasure of visiting Canada although it is somewhere I have always wanted to go. I love Europe too - where else have you been?

We have been there many times as we love to travel Europe and London is always our first stop!

I've been to France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Monaco, Holland, Greece, Turkey. Oh and I've been to Scotland. My absolute favorite is Santorini Greece! You have probably travelled to a lot of the countries as well since you are so close!

I got to travel Europe a few years ago as well - I have been dying to go back since. Fi and I are trying to save to go to Italy for our 1 year anniversary (Fi's a big Roman history nerd) and hopefully we'll get to a few other places while we're there.

Wow you girls put me to shame, I live so close to all these places and I've barely seen any of them, I tend to go further afield. I've been to a few of the Greek islands, France, Spain, Portugal, the canary islands, Germany, Sweden and of course Ireland. Never even been to Scotland!! I am going to turkey in July for a friends wedding so I will be able to cross that off my list too. Also looking forward to getting a tan before Mexico. How many guests have you girls got coming?

I wish I had definite numbers confirmed so I could start buying things (seat covers, stuff for out of town bags, favors, etc ......). When we sent the Save The Dates so many more people than we expected said they would go, but I wonder how much of that is just talk. Myself and fiance just booked ours 2 weeks ago (were waiting on the airline to release direct flights for November), so nobody booked until we did! Since then my parents booked, as did my sister and her family. Fiance's family are booking this weekend, same for best man and his wife. I hope that within a month I should have more of an idea on total numbers but I just wish I knew now! I don't think we are going to be a huge group, maybe 20-25.

Yes we are going to be similar numbers. When we first booked in November lots of people said they would come and we had around 30, as the year has progressed due to finances people have dropped out so now I wont count final numbers until everyone who says they are coming has booked! I think we will be about 17-18. Mainly both our families and a few friends.

To be honest we knew there was a risk of having no one come when we decided to get married abroad so we are grateful to have just one guest :-)

I do know what you mean about wanting to start buying things, I am gagging to!!!!

Its so hard - you want everyone to come but I feel bad making people commit to such an expense

Hello lovely ladies !!

Good news (I think) ...... I ordered my wedding dress! Such a weight off my sholders and delighted that it's now ordered as I was totally stressing about time, but now I'm also stressing a little because I never had the "OMG this is the one" feeling like so many other brides, and it is terrifying me!! I mean I think the dress is beautiful, but I just didn't have that OMG feeling. Am nervous that I might have settled because I was running out on time, or was it complete and utter fear of commiting to one dress that cost so much $$$$$!!! Anyone else feel the same?

Besides that I paid the 50% deposit for our photographer Ivan Luckie which I am really excited about. We have him all day on the wedding day plus a follow up trash the dress session in TWO locations! We also booked him for underwater photography. I can't wait!

I'm from Ireland but living in US and traveling between both for work and personal, but my family will be coming to visit for 2 weeks this month so while they are here we hop eto get the guys outfits sorted, so hopefully that will be taken care of this month.

We have our catholic pre-marriage course tomorrow and Sunday, which at first I was like "what a whole weekend!!", but hey I guess they do these for a reason and I hope it will do us good.

So a lot of big items being ticked off the list but I am still feeling overwhelmed at how much needs to be done! I think I was totally disillusional when I started this thinking a destination wedding would be easy! It's a lot of work people!!

One thing I am so greatful for is my wedding coordinator, she has been absolutely brilliant, love her so much and she wil be getting a huge hug when I eventually meet her! I know other brides have been so frustrated with how long it takes to get replies or information but my w/c has been fab, no more than 24 hours for a response, perfect english, very jolly and happy attitude and so helpful.

Wishing everyone a great weekend and looking forward to hearing all your progress, updates and venting!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
